Lot Attendant Job Description

As a lot attendant at our dealership, you will make sure vehicles you will receive, move, arrange, and maintain the appearance of the lot and the vehicles to make sure they are ready to sell to our valued customers. 

Responsibilities:

  • Report to desk managers daily
  • Work closely with the owner
  • Assist the Desk and Service Managers when necessary
  • Pick up newly purchased vehicles and drive them to the lot
  • Check-in vehicles as they arrive to the dealership
  •  Fill out the "New Vehicle Check-In" by inspecting the vehicle
    If any lights are on, such as engine lights inform a manager and take it to service
  • Make sure vehicles have gas and batteries are working
  • Fuel up the vehicles with gas and charge the batteries
  • Notify desk managers or service manager if a vehicle needs attention
  • Put prices on the vehicles
  • Use your Elo app to find vehicles
  • Wash vehicles if needed.
  • Program keys with stock # in the key machine
  • Arrange cars on the lot as directed by managers or the owner
  • Make sure the lot is clean, remove trash
  • Must have a positive attitude and a team player
  • Run errands when needed
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Service Advisor's

Service Advisor Job Description

As the Service Advisor's at M & F Auto you will serve as a liaison between service technicians and customers.

You will assist customers in determining problems with their vehicles while providing accurate repair descriptions to technicians.

In addition, you are responsible for greeting clients, listening to customer requests, scheduling service appointments, and estimating repair costs.

Essential Duties 

1. A team player by participating in weekly meetings

2. Greeting customers and scheduling service appointments

3. Informing customer about potential cost savings and warranty protections

4. Contacting the customer to give them updates especially if there is a delay.

5. Provide a loaner vehicle to the customer

6. Received returned loaners by inspecting them for cleanliness and gas

7. Documenting customers concerns and comments

8. Clearly explain the technician's repair recommendations to customers while communicating customer needs to technicians. 

9. Translating customers' repair problems into standard repair terminology

10. Writing service orders and descriptions of problems and repairs

11. Test-driving vehicles to confirm service repairs

12. Estimating the cost and time needed for repairs

13. Handling customer complaints

14. To resolve issues when customers change their minds about service work, repairs are running behind schedule or parts arriving later than expected.

15. Overseeing and managing the service center's scheduling and workflow

16. Referring customers that maybe ready for a new vehicle to the desk

17. Overseeing scheduling and workflow

18. Assist the manager by increasing revenue for the service dept

19. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Sales Representative

Sales Representative Job Description

As a Sales Rep, you are responsible for providing exceptional customer service by making the customer feel welcome and supported through the car-purchasing process. Able to demonstrate Teamwork and collaboration skills to coordinate sales with the financing department, desk managers and other staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist customers
  • Listen to customers to determine their needs and wants, then provide options
    • Stay with the customer through the sales process
    • Never leave the customer alone at your desk for longer than 5 minutes
    • Use the time to build trust and rapport with the customer
    • Explain our 30-Day Limited Warranty - we cover 14 components.
      20% discount for what we don't cover
    • Introduce Elo and demonstrate on your phone app
  • Coordinate with Finance Dept and Sales Desk to determine customer's financing options
  • Take the customer back to service and introduce the manager and staff
  • Download Elo on your phone
  • Use our software system, DealerSocket daily to follow up with prospective customers and return calls, texts & emails.
  • Introduce our referral program to encourage new and repeat business
  • Work closely with our receptionists by communicating details about the customer
  • Be able to maintain above average CSI scores.
  • Attend mandatory meetings on Saturday mornings.
  • Attend training sessions as scheduled. 
  • Assist Finance with obtaining STIPS from your customers. To be turned in within 72 hours.
  • Your Deals must be finalized and capped before your commission is paid out.
  • Fulfill any items on the "We Owe" form by scheduling services with vendors and customers.
  • Contact your customers the next day to make sure they are satisfied with their purchase.
  • Arrive to work on time. Contact your manager if you anticipate being late.
  • 7 days' notice required for a personal day off and 30 days for vacation.
    You will be eligible for vacation pay after 1 year of employment.
  • Other duties maybe assigned as needed.
